FT Clinic Nurse

Nursing and other duties are preformed according to LAPP policies and procedures, and according to regulatory agency requirements. Work is prioritized using independent judgment, but in cooperation with peers, physicians, and clinic manager. Nursing judgment will be use in all patient care-related situations. New or unusual issues are discussed with the physicians and clinic manager. Must be able to assess patient condition and record data; visual and auditory acuity, written and verbal communication skills are needed. Successful applicant will have very good computer skills on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; and will be able to pick up new computer skills easily. Must be able to follow specific instructions and explain to patients. Must be competent in administration of injections, blood-draws, waived testing and other medical and nursing procedures. Requires a caring, sympathetic approach to patients while meeting deadlines and maintaining efficient office flow. Able to provide excellent care and service appropriate for client's age and physical ability. Aware of fraud and abuse issues in health care; is able to us local and corporate reporting mechanisms. Education - Requires Graduation from an accredited RN program and a current license as a Registered Nurse or LPN in the State of New Mexico.
Experience - 2 years of previous nursing experience preferred.
Special Requirements : Requires CPR (BLS) Certification Within one year the RN will be a Certified Chemotherapy RN. Within two years the RN will achieve ONE certification.
