As a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) you will be responsible for provid! ing nursing care to residents and direction and leadership to designated staff.
Additional responsibilities of the Charge Registered Nurse (RN) include:
- Completing comprehensive nursing assessment of all residents on admission and on an ongoing basis according to state and federal regulations using the nursing process.
- Assuring assigned residents receive ordered medication, treatments and other procedures within defined time frames, utilizing appropriate infection control procedures.
- Assuring physician's orders are processed and physicians are notified in a timely manner.
- Demonstrating safe use of all equipment and checking equipment before using.
Charge Registered Nurse (RN)
To qualify for the Charge Registered Nurse (RN), you must have effective communication skills and be able to work with individuals of all ages.
Additional requirements of the Charge Registered! Nurse (RN) include:
- Licensure for state of ! practice is required. Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- CPR Certification or ability to achieve upon employment.
- Knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effets of all medications administered.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Part-time, (16-24hrs/week), evening shift (2:00pm to 10:30pm)
Days of the week vary, including rotating weekends and some holidays.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assesses, plan, implements and evaluates a plan of care for residents in pertinent areas. Makes changes on plan of care as necessary. Provides nursing care to residents according to physician orders and regulations. Assures physician’s orders are processed and physicians notified in a timely manner. Observes residents, documents observations and care provided to resident. Receives and shares information; observes and reports residents’ conditions; directs and assists with resident! , family/significant other education. Assists residents in meeting their social needs through interaction with staff, family and other residents.
Responds appropriately to residents’ requests for help and to emergency needs in the center (choking, falls, convulsions, fire and disaster situations etc.); demonstrates safe use of oxygen, lifts and all other equipment; utilizes good body mechanics during all transfers and other physical tasks.
Performs supervisory functions including assigning, monitoring, evaluating, motivating, training, supporting and correcting staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have current RN. Current CPR certification or ability to become certified within 180 days of hire. Prior nursing experience preferred, especially in long term care. Cannot have any qualifying convictions.
WORK LOCATION: Health Care Center.
WAGE: RN - $20.25 beginning, (Additional pay added to beginning rate according to ! experience). Shift Differential of $1.00/hr added to base pay for eveni! ng shift.
