The Cath Lab Supervisor is responsible for serving as the team leader in the Cath Lab overseeing daily operations and scheduling of seven cath labs to ensure maximal efficiency of labs and personnel, coordination of resources and working closely with the director regarding operational issues.
The incumbent monitors and oversees daily work activities and performance improvement initiatives, ensures compliance with DNV and environment of care standards, departmental policies and procedures and intervenes and documents, when indicated. The incumbent oversees the staff performanc! e review process, interviews, hires, counsels and recommends t! ermination, when indicated. The supervisor coordinates the daily schedule and approves time off and the monthly call schedule. The incumbent serves as a resource for the charge nurse charge xray technologist and EP charge technologist.
This position is accountable for maintaining certification for ARRT or RCIS or RN licensure as well as the competencies of CV Specialist I or II. The incumbent must maintain ACLS certification and be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in their area.
