Two to three years college level courses/Associate’s Degree/Diploma in Nurs! ing. New Mexico Registered Nursing license required. Less than one year experience in nursing.

Summary of major job functions Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating a standards based framework model
Key job accountability # 1 Provides direct patient care assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken and patient responses
Key job accountability # 2 Coordinates patient’s care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team.
Key job accountability # 3 Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians and standard protocols.
Key job accountability # 4 Delegates or assigns aspects of patient care to healthcare team ! members commensurate with their validated competency to perfor! m the task.
Key job accountability # 5 Assists physicians with various procedures, treatments, surgical techniques or delegate/assign to other healthcare team members as appropriate.
Key job accountability # 6 Assists in the orientation of new staff or students, and serve as a resource person and professional role model.
Key job accountability # 7 Professionally responsible for current nursing research, current nursing standards, hospital philosophy, and hospital programs in order to maintain quality.
