Job Description:
The SimplexGrinnell Service Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination and assignment of personnel and materials necessary for prompt, complete service and repair of security, fire alarm, and sprinkler systems. Develops and builds on current capabilities to prepare team members for successful job performance.
- Plan, schedule, supervise, and control service jobs.
- Research and maintain technical knowledge to inform technicians and customers of current standards and new developments.
- Tracking day to day deployment of technicians ensuring productivity goals are met.
- Coaching and training team by conducting formal and informal training.
- Conduct ride-along days with technicians.
- Interface with customers and perform audits of completed service ! calls and repairs.
- Track department inventory. Provide input for annual reviews
- Conduct weekly technician meetings.
- Establish and track goals.
- Assure equipment is calibrated and maintained properly.
- Review timecards for accuracy and discrepancies.
- Enforce all company safety initiatives.
- Ensure service tasks are closed in a timely manner.
- Track monthly performance of deficiencies.
- Project manage the top customer accounts.
- Process new hires and terminations.
Qualifications:
- 5 - 10 years service supervisory experience in a related industry
- Experience in the fire protection/life safety industry preferred
- Associates Degree in a business or engineering discipline or equivalent work experience required
- Demonstrate leadership with effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS office as well as online systems
- Knowledge of Ora! cle a plus
- NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems a plus
- Must be able to pass all company required background checks
- Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements
