Post by Jobing - Nursing House Administrator (Pool NIghts) Location: Sandoval Regional Medical Center Job Code: 200 # of Op! enings: 1 Description Nursing House Administrator Work under the general nursing process while using independent judgment to assume administrative responsibility and accountability of hospital operations for all departments and personnel during assigned periods and serve as an on site representative of SRMC administration. Notify and report summaries of incidents to senior management as required. Participate and lead emergency response team within the hospital to ensure appropriate utilization. S erve as a positive role model and represent the leadership team in mission and values.
Facilitate patient flow from entry and throughout hospital stay and discharge. Work as a coordinator and team member for optimal patient care with multiple disciplines. Serve as a role model to promote the SRMC Values, a positive work environment and efficient, quality patient care. Ensure compliance to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Patient care assignments ! may include neonate, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age grou! ps. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Nursing program (nationally accredited) graduate PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing, or obtains by 2015 LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: * Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in State of New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by State of New Mexico without restrictions or limitations * RN MATRIX â€" Complete and maintain unit/clinic based required certifications and competencies as listed in the department expectations/and or the unit/clinic education matrix * IV Certification * CPR Certification or must obtain within 30 calendar days of date of position * ACLS Certification or must obtain within 6 months of date of position * PALS Certification or must obtain within 6 months of date of position PREFERRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: * Nationally certified in area of specialty, within two years of date of hire * TNCC and/or ENPC EXPERIENCE: * 4 years specialty area experience in and ED or ICU setting * 3 years char! ge nurse or equivalent in specialty setting KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Problem solving, strong ability to improve attitudes and morale while creating buyâ€"in for increased job expectation and participation to improve patient flow and outcomes. Clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, nursing skills, physiological knowledge, medication administration, medical teamwork, multitasking, listening and verbal communication, and health promotion and maintenance.
