Role Summary
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or team leader, provides general nursing care to patients. Attends to the general healthcare and comfort of the patient. Observes and records treatment and patient progress and reports to supervisor patient's condition or reaction. Administers prescribed medications. Must be licensed or hold a temporary permit to practice. Must have completed a course in pharmacology. .
LPN Responsibilities:
Prepares patient to be se! en by provider by taking vitals (height, weight, pulse, blood ! pressure, etc.).
Assists provider with patient exams, minor surgeries, administering medications and injections.
Communication between provider and patient regarding reason for visit, symptoms, etc. Update documentation in medical chart.
Contact patients with lab results, follow-up appointments and referrals.
Clean, disinfect and autoclave instruments. Clean and organize exam room, maintaining adequate supplies.
Order medical charts through system and check for complete and accurate information. .
Requirements
LPN Qualifications :
1. Education: Completion of accredited LPN Program
2. Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
3. 1-2 years back office experience preferred.
4. LPN license for state with no restrictions or stipulations
5. Must have experience with phlebotomy, injections, assisting with procedures, electronic medical records, and be co! mfortable with children ages 2 and up .
