Purpose of Position
Position will provide comprehensive nursing care for clients in the Juvenile Justice Services Facilities. Position will assure high quality medical care for all juvenile clients in compliance with accepted licensure and professional standards of medical and nursing practice, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, and implementation. Position will take effective and appropriate action to decrease or prevent morbidity or mortality, use independent nursing judgment during assessment, follow nursing protocol during sick call, administer vaccinations, collect lab specimens, conduct pill pass, perform medical intake inc! luding obtaining a complete health history, assist the physici! an with sick call and chronic clinic visits, and maintain the chronic clinic list weekly.

This position is a Pay Band 75.
Classification Description:
Registered Nurses-Advanced
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Nursing or graduation from a NLN accredited program accepted by the New Mexico Board of Nursing and three (3) years paid experience as a Registered Nurse.
Employment Requirements:
Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Some travel is required. Employment is subject to post offer pre-employment background investigation and is conditional pending results.
