Under the supervision of an outpatient manager and/or director, provides direct, safe, appropriate, and effective nursing care to designated patients in accordance with patient needs, ! current standards of nursing practice, and organizational policies within the scope of LPN Licensure and clinic policy. Performs general nursing tasks. Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions. Collaborates with the outpatient manager and/or director in shift schedule assignments and monitor attendance. Provide clinical supervision for nursing and non-clinical staff. Serves as a role model to staff, preceptor and/or mentor. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Participation in Compliance and other important training is a condition of employment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Identifies and collects information concerning the health status of patients.
2. Evaluates patientâs responses to interventions and to the revision of the plan of care as needed.
3. Ensures the implementation of patient care orders in a timely manner.
4. Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions. Collaborates with the outpatient manager and/or director in shift schedule assignments and monitor attendance.
5. Demonstrates accountability for professional practice. Services as a role model to staff, preceptor and/or mentor.
6. Assumes responsibility for care provided by non-licensed members of the nursing team. Responsible for orientating new clinical staff; providing department specific training.
7. Demonstrates quality improvement, facilitating the generation of ideas for improvement of patient care and functioning of the unit.
8. Responsib! le for completing basic clinical staff LPN competencies in addition to ! departmental specific competencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
Required - Graduate from a practical nursing program.
Preferred - Associateâs Degree in related discipline
EXPERIENCE
Required - One (1) year of LPN experience in clinical setting
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge of clinical/specialty area. Strong conflict resolution skills. Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality; basic math skills, basic computer skills. Supervision/management knowledge and experience.
LICENSURE
Required - CPR; Valid NM LPN Licensure, valid multi-state compact license
