Location: Albuquerque New Mexico

BSN required or obtained within 3 years. New Mexico Nursing License required. Three to five years experience in ambulatory care, t! o include at least two years experience in a chronic pain setting. Nursing supervisor experience desired.

Requires detailed knowledge of leadership in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data. This staff member must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served.

Primary Job Functions

To oversee nursing operations within the Pain & Spine outpatient clinics in support of the Clinic Manager. To exercise administrative and clinical supervision of nurses and medical assistants

Key job accountability # 1 Provides leadership and supervision of clinical support team to further the vision, values and strategies of the service line

Key job accountability # 2 Demonstrates knowledge and skill in nursing management scope and standards of care in support of professional nursing practice

Key job accountability! # 3 Selects, trains, and orients nursing staff and provides l! eadership to nursing staff in all aspects of the department

Key job accountability # 4 Utilizes conflict management skills to anticipate and address potential conflict at the individual, group or situation level

Key job accountability # 5 Uses problem solving to recognize, anticipate and resolve clinical and patient care process problems

Key job accountability # 6 Uses communication and active listening skills to address staff and patient issues

Key job accountability # 7 Uses Quality Management tools and techniques to gain the cooperation and support of team members

Key job accountability # 8 Responsible for all aspects of clinical regulatory compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and standards and takes corrective action when deficiencies occur

Key job accountability # 9 Works in collaboration with Clinic Manager while managing multiple concurrent objectives, projects groups, or activities. Demonstrates effe! ctive judgment in prioritization and time allocation

Key job accountability # 10 Demonstrates knowledge and use of tools and procedures to monitor clinical aspects of budget

Key job accountability # 11 Assists with direct patient care during times of high volume, staffing shortage, to include shift coverage for vacations

Key job accountability # 12 Participates in meetings focusing on clinical initiatives/outcomes and deploys pertinent initiatives within the clinic

Key job accountability # 13 Performs other functions as required
