Purpose of Position
This position will support the Family Planning Program in the Roswell Health Office. Position will assist in developing, planning and implementing one or more public health programs. Position is also responsible for performing nursing services in public health nursing programs, such as coordinating specialized nursing programs with other public health, educational and welfare agencies.
This position is a Pay Band 75.
Classification Description:
Registered Nurses-Advanced
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Nursing or graduation from a NLN accredited program accepted by the New Mexico Board of Nursing and three (3) years paid! experience as a Registered Nurse.
Employment Requ! irements:
Must possess and maintain a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Some travel may be required. Successful completion of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act) training within 60 days of employment.
Statutory Requirements:
All applicants for this position must be licensed in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act § 61-3-2 through 61-3-31 NMSA 1978 and 16.12.1 through 16.12.20 NMAC, as applicable.
