The Senior Product Ownerat MEDHOST has the opportunity to push the boundaries of what is possible in healthcare by changing the way physicians, nurses, and other members of the hospital care team interact with electronic health records. You will engage users in the field to observe, define, and build solutions which streamline clinical workflows and promote outstanding patient care. You will lead MEDHOST program teams through the development of storyboards and prototypes to the final product release. You will work in close collaboration with the MEDHOST Product Management team to ! transform the product roadmap into delivered products that tra! nsform the way people view electronic health records.
- Maintain proficiency on MEDHOST clinical products and understand the way different applications interact to form the user experience.
- Stay up-to-date on healthcare trends and challenge yourself and your team to find innovative ways to incorporate them into product development.
- Evaluate customer requests and suggestions to determine their appropriateness and the most effective way to incorporate them.
- Translate components of a high level roadmap into a prioritized backlog which will be utilized by development teams.
- Collaborate with the user experience, development, quality assurance, and documentation teams to plan, test, and promote new software and improvements to existing applications.
- Work with different teams to collaborate on innovative approaches to address the challenges of the ever-changing healthcare environment.
- Work with user experience t! eam to documents process flow diagrams and/or program modifications.
- Develop functional specifications for new development or issue resolution, review program design for adherence to specifications, and work with quality assurance team to review test scenarios and results.
- Train appropriate personnel to be effective presenters of key functionality.
- Utilizes skills and ability of project team members to keep projects on schedule and well informed.
- Understand and communicate produce vision to staff and clients with enthusiasm and clarity.
- Bachelorâs degree in Health Science area preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Experience desired in three or more of the following areas: 1) Project Management, particularly Agile; 2) Software Design; 3) Meaningful Use Requirements; 4) Familiarity with EHRs; 5) Healthcare Ancillary Systems (Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Managed Care, etc.); 6) ! CPOE; 7) Direct Patient Care; 8) JIRA or similar project management sof! tware.
- Must be well-organized and able to work under deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with little direction or follow-up.
- Excellent written, proof reading and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized and have the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to demonstrate supportive relationships with peers, customers, partners, and corporate executives.
- Must be flexible with a can-do attitude and have the ability to remain professional under high-pressure situations.
- Ability to retain and protect confidential material.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
