Position Responsibilities:
- The ER Registered Nurse will provide care that includes timely triage, physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education to the Emergency Department patient.
- The ER RN is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributes to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds the Department of Health Service (DHS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements.
- The ER Registered Nurse will support the ER initiative and provide quality patient care.
- 2 years acute care experience in a hospital emergency room
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Proficiency in both written and oral English
- Proficiency in computer charting
- Graduate of approved nursing program
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
