Position Summary:
UNM Student Health & Counseling (SHAC) is seeking applicants for a part-time (.5 FTE) Registered Nurse position. This individual will provide nursing care to patients in the Immunization/Travel clinic. SHAC is a one-stop health service available to all currently enrolled UNM students. SHAC is located North of Johnson Center and across the mall from the SUB. Services include: medical appointments (advanced and same-day), pharmacy, women's and men's health, allergy and immunization, medical specialty clinics, physical therapy, lab and x-ray, travel health clinic, counseling services, as well as health education and prevention. Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program; no previous work experience required. State of New Mexico Licensed Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with New Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in Travel Medicine setting Experience administering Immunizations Experience working with adolescents/young adults Experience working in a college health setting Experience working in a primary care Experience working in public health
