Description
Under the supervision of the Clinic Physician, Nurse Practitioner and! /or the Clinic Nurse, the medical assistant will care and treat patients in accordance with the providers recommendations and orders.
The medical assistant will act as a liaison between the patient and the provider and will promote general good will and maximize the provider’s time with the patient.
Qualifications
Education:
1.
High School graduate or equivalent.
2.
Knowledge of accepted nursing standards and practice that a medical assistant is allowed to provide.
3.
Ability to provide patient care in accordance with hospital and the clinic’s policies.
4.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, peers, physicians and visitors.
5.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
Preferred:
Bilingual preferred, but not required.
