Position Summary:
Are you a dynamic individual who enjoys working with people and supporting an innovative program? This position will help coordinate the future vision and administer the daily operational support for the Interprofessional Healthcare Simulation Center (IHSC) at the UNM Health Sciences Center (HSC). The Program Specialist will manage and coordinate complex operations, programs and systems with multiple stakeholders from the HSC. The position is responsible for managing the IHSC budget/projections, oversight of the facility and equipment inventory. They will provide the first line of user support to faculty and staff with computers, audio-visual and simulation equipment. They must possess the ab! ility to learn new applications, systems, equipment and techno! logies (as they rapidly change). They will also be responsible for coordinating the collection, compilation and analysis of data to be used in the IHSC's promotions, evaluations and applications. The Program Specialist will participate in the development and implementation of special projects and program initiatives to achieve the overall mission of the IHSC. They should possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal as they will be representing the IHSC as its spokesperson and champion with both internal and external constituencies. In addition they will facilitate and record the meetings for the IHSC Advisory Committee and supervise student employees. Reporting through Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC), the IHSC is a state-of-the-art clinical performance center serving the educational programs of the College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and the School of Medicine. The center includes a mock community pharmacy, sterile! /non-sterile compounding areas, and simulated inpatient wards and outpatient clinic examination rooms for performance assessment, including mid- and hi-fidelity simulation laboratories, procedure and debriefing rooms. This simulation-based clinical environment helps students learn and practice clinical skills for modern health care practice. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of work experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing an environment where you coordinated complex operational processes. Experience working in an educational and/or clinical environment. Experience managing budgets and projections. Experience with facility management and equipment inventory control. Experience providing user support for computers, A/V and/or simulation equipment. Experience facilitating meeting and recording minutes. Experience compiling and analyzing data. Proficiency in learning new applications, systems, equipment and technologies. Proficiency using the Microsoft Offic! e Suite of applications.
